May try the same marinade with chicken breasts. This recipe is superb-so flavorful and perfect with lamb. Grilled the veggies first, then the lamb pieces 2 minutes on each of 4 sides. Used the same marinade to brush on some vegetables (patti pans, yellow squash, green pepper slices, large white mushrooms, thick onion slices and a fresh tomato sliced in half).

Bought a double rack of lamb, cut both into 2 bone section, marinated for ~ 4 hours. Wow! Great marinade! I had dinner guests taking the recipe home with them! We doubled the recipe for two packs of the Costco lamb loin chops.įantastic flavor. Next time I would cook down the left over marinade I order to thicken it some. I didn't use the wood chips, but I did cook them on a gas grill. Very easy to prepare, looks impressive, and they were so tender. Everyone raved! This is high praise since several members of my family are picky eaters and yet they all asked for the recipe. This recipe is spectacular! I made this as part of a big Easter dinner for my family. The lamb chops were wonderful, served with fresh broccoli. Used the best lamb available in our area. Used fresh rosemary, reduced amount to one tablespoon. Used all ingredients contained in the marinade with variation in the amounts, to taste. Outstanding recipe! Will definitely make this again! Next time I would simply rub the chops with some salt, pepper, fresh rosemary & garlic, let them rest for a few hours, then reduce the balsamic mixture (all ingredients but no oil needed) to drizzle over the top after grilling. This marinade did not bring out the flavor of the lamb, and the wetness of the marinade kept the chops from crisping up nicely on the grill.
